Escalante’s technical slot canyons are becoming world famous for many reasons. The beauty, challenge and danger draw artist to adventurer from all corners of the globe. From the beginning of life here, man has treated these canyons with respect and we must continue to do the same. On these advanced excursions, movements must be slow and calculated. Equipment and energy must be used efficiently. To get in over your head here in Escalante can prove to have severe consequences for yourself or your team.
The goal of these high adventure excursions is to expose our guests to more advanced canyoneering problems (keeper potholes, anchorless features, etc). By working through these problems we hope to provide guests with some basic insight into advanced canyon problem solving and philosophies. Thus, enabling them to understand and expand their capabilities as well as recognize their limits. These tours are very challenging, scenic and highly rewarding.
* Minimum of two “Basic” canyoneering tours with us or equivalent experience please.
