Escalante is not only home to world class technical slot canyons, it is home to hundreds of them. This gives us countless canyoneering opportunities to offer to our guests at the basic canyon skill level.

On the introduction to canyoneering excursions, guests learn basic down climbing skills, such as mantling, seated bridging and partner assists.  They also experience the basic fundamentals of rope work, including belayed down climbs and rappels up to 100ft. The goal is to slowly introduce our guests to the very basic and safe principles of canyoneering. These trips are not only exciting and spectacular, they give you the ability to enjoy yourself in these stunning and remote places. It may also inspire the confidence to get out and safely explore a few canyons on your own sometime....stay tuned for updates!
